It efficiently copes with fluctuations in cooling and heating loads, with a COP reaching 3.2–4.8 under standard operating conditions and excellent performance at partial loads. It adapts well to low-temperature and wide temperature-range working conditions, operating stably at temperatures as low as -35°C or even lower. Parallel combination technology enables multi-machine coordinated operation; a single unit fault will not affect overall operation, extending the service life.

I. Pre-start Inspection (Mandatory)
Lubrication System
Oil level: Maintain at 1/2 ~ 2/3 of the oil sight glass
Oil condition: Transparent, no emulsification or impurities
Oil temperature: Crankcase electric heater preheating ≥40℃ (≥50℃ for low-temperature units)
Oil pressure difference: 0.15 ~ 0.3 MPa higher than suction pressure
Refrigeration System
Fully open suction/discharge valves, liquid supply valves and condenser liquid outlet valves
Normal static system pressure with no leakage
Cooling/fan system in normal condition; sufficient water flow and air volume
Electrical & Safety
Voltage: 380V±10%; three-phase unbalance<2%
Insulation resistance: ≥1MΩ/kV (≥50MΩ at room temperature)
Protective devices (high/low pressure, oil pressure difference, overload, temperature) are intact and effective
Turn the unit manually 2~3 revolutions; no jamming or abnormal noise
II. Startup Operation
Start cooling water pump / condenser fan first, confirm normal water flow and air volume
Jog the compressor for 3~5 seconds, check rotation direction, abnormal noise and oil pressure
Formal startup: Start with no load (0% load); gradually increase load after 5~10 minutes
Monitoring Items:
Discharge temperature: 70~145℃ for single-stage units; 70~90℃ for low-pressure stage & 80~120℃ for high-pressure stage of two-stage units
Suction temperature: 5~15℃ higher than evaporation temperature (to prevent wet compression)
Current: ≤80% of rated value; three-phase current balanced
No knocking sound, abnormal vibration or leakage
III. Operation Monitoring (Record every 1~2 hours)
Pressure
Discharge pressure (high pressure): ≤1.8 MPa for R22/R404A; ≤1.6 MPa for R134a
Suction pressure (low pressure): Controlled according to working conditions; negative pressure or excessively low pressure is prohibited
Oil pressure difference: 0.15~0.3 MPa; protective shutdown will trigger if below 0.1 MPa
Temperature
Discharge temperature: ≤145℃ (coking and cylinder scoring easily occur above 150℃)
Oil temperature: 40~60℃; oil deterioration accelerates above 70℃
Motor winding temperature: ≤125℃
Other Requirements
Return gas: Heavy frosting, wet compression and liquid slugging are strictly prohibited
Stable oil level; no emulsification or abnormal oil consumption
No leakage at valves, flanges and shaft seals
Stable operating sound; no metal knocking or abnormal vibration
IV. Normal Shutdown
Close liquid supply valve first, reduce load to 0%
Stop the compressor
Stop cooling water pump / condenser fan after a 10~15 minutes delay
Close suction/discharge valves if necessary (for long-term shutdown)
Drain all water from condensers and water jackets in winter (to prevent frost cracking)
V. Emergency Shutdown (Immediate stop)
Severe liquid slugging and knocking noise
Discharge temperature exceeds 150℃; oil pressure remains continuously below 0.1 MPa
High pressure exceeds 2.0 MPa; low pressure maintains negative pressure continuously
Severe leakage, smoking, burnt odor or electrical faults
Abnormal vibration, overheated bearings or motor overload
VI. Safety Prohibitions (Strictly Forbidden)
Startup when oil temperature<35℃ (prone to pressure loss and wear)
Startup with suction/discharge valves not fully open or under load
Operation with wet compression or liquid slugging (heavy frosting on return gas pipeline)
Operation under overpressure, overtemperature, oil shortage, water cut-off or air cut-off conditions
Frequent startup and shutdown in a short time (interval ≥15 minutes)
Operation with protective devices short-circuited, shielded or failed
